Our services include original cataloging, copy cataloging, physical processing, retrospective conversion, and reclassification. We do not currently offer PCIP services.

Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Ottoman Turkish, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, and Turkish. Please inquire about additional languages not listed. Original records for all non-Roman scripts will have vernacular included. Vernacular for copy can be provided.
Formats
LCS provides cataloging for all formats, including books (including legal materials, government documents, technical reports and dissertations), cartographic materials, continuing resources, electronic resources, graphic materials, manuscripts, microforms, realia, scores, sound recordings (both spoken and musical, including classical music) and videorecordings.
Cataloging Practices
LCS follows the cataloging practices and provisions of RDA, but we can apply any local practices that may be requested by the library. Authority control is provided for in original cataloging prices.
Classification
Classifications available include LCC (Library of Congress Classification), DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification), NLM (National Library of Medicine), and local classification.
Subject Headings
Subject headings available include LCSH (Library of Congress Subject Headings), Bilindex, MeSH (NLM's Medical Subject Headings) and Sears. Local subject headings may also be applied.
Delivery
MARC records can be delivered directly into local systems, via save file numbers, via email (.mrc, .dat, etc.), or whatever works best for you.
